David Bowie’s tribute album will be released in September

The tracklisting and new release date for David Bowie's tribute album were revealed. Originally, the record has been announced in 2009 and was scheduled to hit the stores in February, but later the release date was scrapped. Now the album is set to appear in September.

Titled We Were So Turned On, it will be released on two CD’s featuring such David Bowie's hits as Space Oddity, Ashes To Ashes, Heroes, Ziggy Stardust, theme from Cat People musical and many more.

Duran Duran, A Place To Bury Strangers and MGMT were named among musicians who contributed to the upcoming album. The album will also feature a cover by former Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist John Frusciante and a Spanish version of Sound + Vision performed by Devendra Banhart.
