Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl spoke about the work on the new track I Should Have Known. It was recorded together with his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, as well as producer Buth Vig, who worked with them in Curt Kobain's era. Grohl claimed he "felt natural" collaborating with Novoselic and Vig again.

"The three of us haven't been in a studio together since 1991. Musically, it sounded great and it felt natural", said singer.

Dave Grohl added that he always felt "extremely glad" to work with his Nirvana bandmates.

I Should Have Known is set to be included in Foo Fighters' new album Wasting Light. It will be released in April, preceded by the single Rope that will be out on March 1.

Earlier Dave Grohl claimed that the record would feature his former Nirvana's bandmate Krist Novoselic, as well as famous producer Butch Vig, who worked on Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind.

Foo Fighters' previous studio effort, named Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, hit the stores in 2007.
