Courtney Love will not change her name

Courtney Love denied rumors that she was going to reject her stage pseudonym and perform under her real name Courtney Michelle. Yesterday an NME music magazine revealed an interview with her, in which Courtney was quoted as saying that she was tired of her stage image.

However, her spokesperson claimed that these words were taken out of context and treated incorrectly. «She's not changing her name, unless it's to Courtney Love Mellencamp or Big Baby Jesus», said her spokesperson.

In the same interview Courtney Love claimed that she was tired of speaking about her former husband, late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. Love said that she has married Cobain in 1992 (two years before his death), and it is «unfair to expect her to be able to answer all the questions» about singer.

Courtney Love and her band Holes are currently preparing for the tour across Britain in support of the recently released album Nobody’s Daughter.
