Corey Taylor would like Slipknot to continue

Aug 08, 2010
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor revealed that he would like the band to continue performing shows and recording new albums. The group's future is uncertain since the recent death of bassist Paul Gray. "It is a hard decision, but I would like to continue with Slipknot. However, it is up to everyone of us to decide", claimed Taylor.

According to Taylor's words, there is even a possibility that Slipknot will disband.

"It's too soon right now, but we're still talking, all of us are talking and everthing's good but we'll see", said he.

His words were confirmed by Slipknot guitarist Jim Root: "There's going to be a big healing process that needs to happen before we even think about whether or not Slipknot will continue".

Paul Gray was found dead in a hotel room in Des Moines, Iowa in June. According to toxicology tests, the cause of death was an accidental overdose.

Corey Taylor himself is currently working on a new album with his side project Stone Sour. Titled Audio Secrecy, the record is set to hit the stores on September.

Slipknot last to date album All Hope Is Gone hit the stores in 2008.
