Corey Taylor may become Velvet Revolver frontman

Slipknot singer Corey Taylor is set to become new Velvet Revolver frontman, according to the reports. Several US newspapers claimed that he was chosen to replace Scott Weiland, who has left the band in 2008.

Earlier Velvet Revolver's Slash confirmed that the band has found new singer. However, former Guns N' Roses guitarist refused to reveal his name.

Corey Taylor himself neither confirmed nor denied these rumors. "To be continued", said he when was contacted by Billboard.

Spacehog singer Royston Langdon and Scars On Broadway frontman Frankie Perez were rumored to join Velvet Revolver before.

Earlier Corey Taylor claimed he wanted to continue performing with Slipknot despite the death of his bandmate, bassist Paul Gray.

Slipknot last to date album All Hope Is Gone hit the stores in 2008.
