Coldplay were inspired by The Beatles
Dec 12, 2008Coldplay frontman Chris Martin revealed that the band’s last single Violet Hill was a reference to The Beatles. He explained that the song was named after a street in London that joins Abbey Road, the street that is strongly associated with The Beatles.
«Violet Hill' is a street and it joins Abbey Road - so it's kind of The Beatles reference», said Martin.
Violet Hill is a song from Coldplay’s album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, released this summer. The band’s recent record Prospekt's March appeared in stores in autumn.
