Coldplay thanked Kanye West for "music education"

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin praised Kanye West as one of the persons who provide "music education" to the people. According to the singer, Kanye has taught listeners to explore new genres – just by mixing different styles in his own songs.

"Don't you think that music now shouldn't fall into a particular box? I don't think anyone thinks like that any more. You don't see so many goths, hippies, rockers and hip hoppers any more. People like Kanye West are changing the way we all listen and the internet", said Chris Martin.

He added that Kanye West is not alone: "Look at Tinie Tempah, for example. Just the song Pass Out has about eight different types of music in it".

Recently Chris Martin claimed that he and his bandmates feel very tired and exhausted after recording their new album Mylo Xyloto. According to Martin, they are not sure if they can make another effort in future.

"This could be our last album. It's the distillation of three years' work and right now I can't imagine where another one would come from. Now we have Justin Bieber and Adele to compete with and they're a lot younger. We have to have the energy to put as much effort into our work as they do", claimed he.
