Coldplay may name new album Mylo Xyloto

Jul 07, 2011
The title of Coldplay's next studio effort – or one of the songs on it – may be Mylo Xyloto. An anonymous source in Performing Right Society revealed that the band has recently registered this name.

A post on one of Coldplay's fansites says: "A song called Mylo Xyloto was registered on 6th July 2011! The writers registered for the song are all of Coldplay and Brian Eno. Wither they actually call the album Mylo Xyloto or not or that might be the lead single".

Coldplay themselves have not given any comments on this report.

Coldplay already released first single from the album, titled Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. Earlier they revealed that it has been inspired by Australian singer and songwriter Peter Allen. According to Chris Martin, he has written the composition after watching a scene from Beautiful movie, where Allen's song I Go To Rio plays at the background.

Coldplay's previous album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends hit the stores in 2008.
