British sportsman of the year praised Foo Fighters

Sir Chris Hoy, who was named Sports Personality of the Year in Britain after wining three gold medals in the summer Olympics in Beijing, has praised Foo Fighters. Famous cyclist claimed that he usually listened to the band to charge himself before races.

According to Chris Hoy, another his favorite band is Massive Attack. «At the Athens Olympics in 2004, I was on the edge of being too anxious before the race so I listened to Massive Attack’s Angel to get in the right frame of mind. But there are some faster tracks that I can turn to as well. I'm a big fan of the Foo Fighters and some of their tracks instantly bring you back to the stages of the race», claimed he.

Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl is currently working with Them Crooked Vultures band, which also features Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones. Together they are recording new album.
