British audience named Robbie Williams as a most desired companion
Sep 09, 2009British music royalty service PRS For Music has carried out a special poll, asking people which artist they would like to have as a companion on a desert island. Robbie Williams has become first, with The Beatles’ Paul McCartney on the second place and The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger being third, followed by Eminem and Oasis’ Liam Gallagher.
The top five for female artists sees Kylie Minogue on the first place, also featuring Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis, Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Previous week, the special poll held by MTV among British audience, named Robbie Williams as the most popular pop-star in Britain. The singer has topped the chart, beating his former bandmates from Take That, who became second, and late singer Michael Jackson, who has reached the third place.
Williams is currently working on a new album. Titled Reality Killed The Video Star, it will become his first studio record since 2006's Rudebox. Ex-Take That member claimed that first single from Reality Killed The Video Star, titled Bodies, will be released in October.
