Brian Eno will produce Coldplay’s new album

Feb 02, 2010
Famous producer Brian Eno announced that he would work on Coldplay’s upcoming fifth studio album. Eno produced the band’s previous record Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, but, according to his words, he is going to make something different with a new album.

«It's quite different from anything they've done before, I think, so far anyway. I don't know how it will end up being, but it's very fresh», claimed Brian Eno.

Producer added: «It's not some attempt to subvert the band, but just to see what other possibilities are lurking within them that might not come out within their normal working situations».

Earlier this month Coldplay revealed that they were going to release new album in 2010. According to the band’s frontman Chris Martin, it is set to hit the stores on Christmas.

Martin added that Coldplay would renew their contract with record label EMI, which expires after the release of upcoming record.
