Brandon Flowers is dissatisfied with Cobain’s music

Apr 04, 2009
The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers claimed that it has been Nirvana’s and Kurt Cobain’s fault that rock-music was associated with negative emotions. Unless the band’s records Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero were released more than fifteen years ago, Flowers lambasted Cobain.

«I don't mean it in a bad way but I think Kurt Cobain and grunge took the fun out of rock and roll», said he, adding that The Killers’ music was far more «playful and brighter».

The Killers released their last album Day & Age in November 2008.
