Blur may perform their last gig this summer

Blur frontman Damon Albarn claimed that the band's upcoming concert in Hyde Park – that will take place in August – may become their last gig. According to the singer, he has not yet discussed it with his mates, but he likes this idea.

"And I hope that's the truth: that that's how we end it. I don't know: you can write scripts, and they always end up going…well, one thing I've learned is that everything I think I've got totally sorted out, and I know exactly what's going to happen, never works out that way", said Damon Albarn.

Set to take place on August 12, the show is set to mark the end of 2012's Olympic Games. Damon Albarn claimed that since announcement he considers Blur "to be closing the Olympics".

Entitled Best Of British, the show is also set to feature New Order and The Specials. More acts will be announced later.
