Blur have given up recording new material

Blur have abandoned the recording of the new songs, reported their producer William Orbit. According to his words, the band has been working on original material through last month, but suddenly stopped in the middle of the process.

"The new stuff sounded amazing. Then it all stopped suddenly. It was all over with frontman Damon Albarn, and the rest of the band were like: "Is this it?" Everybody felt surprised", said he.

Recently Damon Albarn claimed that he has started the work on his first solo album. Singer did not reveal any details about it, only stating that upcoming records will be heavily based on synthesizers sound.

Gorillaz creator claimed: "This week we're doing some kind of record under my name. I suppose you could call it a solo record, but I don't like that word. It sounds very lonely - solo. I don't really want to be solo in my life. But yeah, I'm making another record".
