Blink-182 consider new album to be a "step forward" for the band

Blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus spoke about the band's new studio effort Neighborhoods. According to his words, it has become a "combination" of their previous albums. He also described the record as a "step forward" for the band.

"To me it sounds like a combination of all our records, there are songs that could have been on Dude Ranch, there are songs that could have on our 2003's self-titled record. Overall, it combines everything we've done before and takes a step forward after that", said Hoppus.

He added that the fans' reaction on the new songs Blink-182 played during their summer tour was very positive: "That's been an amazing surprise to me, because when I go see a band play live, the last thing I ever want to hear is new songs, I want the old stuff that I know. But this is so great and exactly what we want for Blink-182 that people want to hear new music, they love old stuff, but they want new stuff too".

Blink-182 also revealed that Neighborhoods will feature 10 tracks. Deluxe edition will be released along with standard one – it is set to include three additional compositions: Kaleidoscope, Fighting The Gravity and Heart's All Gone.
