Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne confirmed that he and his bandmates have held several sessions in studio before they announced their reunion to the public. Moreover, according to Ozzy, the final decision was made only after these rehearsals.

"At first we gathered just to play and to see if we can make something out of it. And it turned out that we still feel each other very well. Of course, we have a long way to go until we can perform in front of the audience", said Ozzy Osbourne.

Black Sabbath announced their reunion at the special conference that has taken place on November 11. Ozzy Osbourne and his bandmates added that they would make their first comeback performance at next year's Download Festival, joining such acts as System Of A Down, Linkin Park, Def Leppard and others.

Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham in 1968. The band released eight albums with original line-up – Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master Of Reality, Black Sabbath Vol. 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage, Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die! – before Ozzy Osbourne left in 1973.
