Black Sabbath singer and Led Zeppelin drummer will record an album together
Jun 06, 2010Members of rock band Black Country Communion revealed that they have started work on their debut album. Titled Black Country, it is set to hit the stores this September. The record will be produced by Kevin Shirley, who earlier worked with such bands as Journey, Iron Maiden, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Dream Theater and others.
Black Country Communion was formed last year by Black Sabbath and Deep Purple’s singer Glenn Hughes and Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham. It also features Dream Theater’s keyboardist Derek Sherinian and famous blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa.
Glenn Hughes was a good friend of John Bonham, Jason’s father and Led Zeppelin original drummer. Black Country Communion band was named after English industrial area where both Glenn Hughes and John Bonham were born.
