Billboard revealed chart of the best «one-hit singers»
Dec 12, 2009The first place was given to Canadian pop singer Daniel Powter. In 2005 his single Bad Day stayed on the top of sales chart for five weeks in a row. However, neither Powter’s next single Free Loop (One Night Stand) nor his other efforts have ever entered Top-30.
The second place went to English pop-rock singer James Blunt, whose only success was debut single You're Beautiful in 2005. Third place was given to R&B-band Terror Squad and their 2002’s song Lean Back. The Top-5 also features Gnarls Barkley's Crazy from 2006 and Blu Cantrell's Hit Em Up Style, released in 2001.
December 2009 sees a lot of charts tracking achievements in the first decade of a new century. During this week, Eminem was crowned as the best selling artist of the last ten years in USA, while Do They Know Its Christmas? was named the most popular Christmas single.
