Beyonce triumphed at the Europe Music Awards 2009

Beyonce was honored three times at the MTV Europe Music Awards ceremony which was held in Berlin last night, on November 5. The singer received such prizes as Best Female, Best Song for Halo track and Best Video for Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

Eminem was named Best Male, beating Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mika and Robbie Williams. Lady GaGa, who was the main favorite for the upcoming ceremony with five nominations, finally received only one award as Best New Act.

Green Day were honored as Best Rock Act, Jay-Z received Best Urban Act award, while U2 were named Best Live Act and Tokio Hotel won in Best Group category.

The show featured performances by Foo Fighters, Green Day, Beyonce, Leona Lewis and U2, who collaborated with Jay-Z onstage.
