Beyonce and Jack White were nominated for OscarTracks by Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce and Jack White may receive Best Song award at the 81st Academy Awards nominations. All in all, 49 songs were nominated for Oscar, including compositions by Peter Gabriel, M.I.A and others.

Bruce Springsteen contributed music for the movie The Wrestler, while Beyonce recorded track Once In A Lifetime for the soundtrack to Cadillac Records.

The White Stripes and The Raconteurs frontman Jack White and Alicia Keys were nominated for the song Another Way To Die, the main theme for James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace.
