Beastie Boys’ new album will be «bizarre»

Feb 02, 2009
Beastie Boys revealed details of their eighth studio album. Upcoming record, titled Tadlock's Glasses, is almost ready and will be released in a few months.

The band's bassist Adam Yaunch described new album as a «bizarre» record. «It's a combination of playing and sampling stuff as we're playing, and also sampling pretty «obscure» records. There are a lot of songs on the record and there are a lot of short songs and they kind of all run into each other», said he.

Beastie Boys are also planning to tour in support of their new album this summer.

The band’s previous record, The Mix-Up, was released in 2007. It consists entirely of instrumental performances and won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album.
