BBC apologised for Madonna's bad language

May 05, 2008
BBC has received a number of complaints after Madonna swore during her performance at Radio One's Big Weekend - the singer's performance at the UK's biggest free festival was broadcasted live, including her use of bad language in conversations with crowd between the songs.

A BBC spokesperson said that the swearing had been preceded by a warning that there could be strong language. This is not the first time Madonna landed the BBC in trouble over swearing - she swore during last year's Live Earth concert, prompting 150 complaints.
