Avril Lavigne wants to make pop music

Avril Lavigne revealed that she has started the work on her next studio effort. According to the singer, she has already written several songs for it. Avril also claimed that she wanted the record to be closer to pop music than her previous album.

"I already have eight songs! I would like to release the fifth album really quick. Previous record was more mellow, and the next one will be pop and more fun again", claimed she.

"I already have a song that I know is going to be a single, I just need to re-record it", added singer.

Avril Lavigne also said that the album may feature a cover on Coldplay's composition Fix You.

Singer's previous album Goodbye Lullaby hit the stores earlier this year.
