Avril Lavigne gig in Malaysia may be forbidden
Aug 08, 2008Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party urges Malaysia government to cancel an upcoming Avril Lavigne concert because the singer’s moves are «too sexy».
«We don't want our people, our teenagers, influenced by their performance. We want clean artists, artists that are good role models», says their statement.
Several female artists, including Gwen Stefani and the Pussycat Dolls, already had troubles in Malaysia. The laws reqire them to be dressed from knees to chest and refrain from jumping, hugging and so on.
