Metallica and Lou Reed unveiled artwork for their upcoming album Lulu. An image – which you can see on the left – shows a broken mannequin and a title of album written with unknown white substance.

They also claimed that upcoming record will feature 10 songs. However, only five of them were revealed – Frustration, Pumping Blood, Little Dog, Mistress Dread and Junior Dad.

Lulu consists of the covers on the songs Reed has written for the musical Lulu, which is based on the plays by German writer Frank Wedekind.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield said: "It was an interesting experiment. We all can't wait to see this album in music stores".

"We were very interested in working with Lou. I had these giant question marks: "What's it going to be like? What's going to happen?" So it was great when he sent us the lyrics for the Lulu body of work. It was something we could sink our teeth into", added Hetfield.

Speaking about the album, Lou Reed said: "It may be the best thing done by anyone, ever. It could create another planetary system. I'm not joking, and I'm not being egotistical".
