Arctic Monkeys will perform online gig

Arctic Monkeys announced plans to play an online concert – the video of the band performing in the studio will be broadcasted through Arctic Monkeys’ official website. This «web gig» will take place on July 30 and give fans the opportunity to hear the songs from the band’s upcoming album Humbug.

Humbug is set to be released in August. It will feature 10 songs, including a number of tracks recorded together with Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme.

Earlier in July the band released the first single from Humbug, titled Crying Lightning. According to the band’s frontman Alex Turner, this song was their favorite during the work on the upcoming disk, and was chosen to be «the best signifier».

Arctic Monkeys previous album Favourite Worst Nightmare was released in 2007.
