Arctic Monkeys will perform a «secret gig»

Dec 12, 2008
Arctic Monkeys will preview their upcoming yet-untitled album at the «secret gig» in New Zealand. This concert will take place on January 13 – just three days before the band will play at the Big Day Out festival.

«It was supposed to be a secret. The lucky few fans in Wellington were going to arrive thinking they were attending a little warm-up gig before the Big Day Out festival. But, in fact, they will be the first to hear the new album», a source told The Sun newspaper.

Arctic Monkeys worked on a new album together with Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. Their previous record Favourite Worst Nightmare was released in 2007.
