Arctic Monkeys suffered lightning strike

Arctic Monkeys revealed that their bus was struck by lightning during the band's tour in Germany in summer 2009. It happened just a few days after their single Crying Lightning was released. "We got struck by lightning near Hanover in the bus, and the bus broke down. We had a nightmare journey getting out here, but we've forgotten about it now", said the singer Alex Turner.

Crying Lightning became the first single from the band's album Humbug, which hit the stores in August. Alex Turner claimed that he enjoyed the brake between this record and Arctic Monkeys' previous album Favourite Worst Nightmare, released in 2007.

Recently Arctic Monkeys' singer Alex Turner claimed that he listens to country music a lot. According to his words, this obsession has appeared during the work on the band's new album Suck It And See. However, it did not affect the record – according to Turner, Arctic Monkeys will never play country themselves.

"I started getting into country music which is something I've never gone anywhere near until quite recently, like I never understood it before. I know I'm never going to write a country tune, that just wouldn't work", claimed he.
