Arctic Monkeys seek inspiration from children programs
May 05, 2012Arctic Monkeys bassist Nick O'Malley revealed that the band has recently started the work on its next studio effort. According to his words, they still are in the early stages, but he already can say that it will be faster than their previous record Suck It And See.
"It's quite early days yet. We've not really got any songs for it at all, so it's difficult to say what the record will be like. But we're enjoying playing sort of fast songs at the minute, so maybe that'll be an indication that it may go that way", claimed he.
Nick O'Malley added that the album is partly inspired by Barney The Dinosaur (main hero of American children's educational TV series).
He also said that two Arctic Monkeys' recently released singles – R U Mine? and Electricity – will not be featured on the record.
