Arctic Monkeys released new single

New single by Arctic Monkeys was released yesterday, on July 7. Titled Crying Lightning, it represents the first song from their new album Humbug. According to the band’s frontman Alex Turner, this song was their favorite during the work on the upcoming disk, and was chosen to be «the best signifier».

Speaking about the whole album, Turner said: «We've enjoyed making Humbug more than the other two put together. It does really feel like we're getting somewhere».

Humbug is set to be released in August. It will feature 10 songs, including a number of tracks recorded together with Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme.

Arctic Monkeys’ previous album Favourite Worst Nightmare was released in 2007.
