Arctic Monkeys have becme an actors

Arctic Monkeys played themselves in a Le Donk movie directed by Shane Meadows, one of the rising stars of British cinema. New film will be directed at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 23.

The movie tells about road agent named Donk who is helping rapper Scorz-Ayz-Ee to become a star. Arctic Monkeys come to join them by inviting Scorz-Ayz-Ee to perform on one of their concerts (some scenes from the movie were filmed the band's gig in Manchester last year).

Recently Arctic Monkeys bassist Nick O'Malley revealed that the band has recently started the work on its next studio effort. According to his words, they still are in the early stages, but he already can say that it will be faster than their previous record Suck It And See.

"It's quite early days yet. We've not really got any songs for it at all, so it's difficult to say what the record will be like. But we're enjoying playing sort of fast songs at the minute, so maybe that'll be an indication that it may go that way", claimed he.

He also said that two Arctic Monkeys' recently released singles – R U Mine? and Electricity – will not be featured on the record.
