Sep 09, 2009
Richard Hulligan, 29 years fan of Arctic Monkeys from Kent, has broken the Guinness World Record as the man who has attended most concerts in seven days. All in all he has visited 15 gigs across 10 venues in London, including performance by Arctic Monkeys, as well as by Ladyhawke, Lightspeed Champion, Friendly Fires and others.

Hulligan was one of the eight persons who competed in the contest established by one of the British clothing companies. The prize was set to go to the one who will see most number of concerts in 14 days. Hulligan became a winner – during these two weeks he has visited 27 shows.

Arctic Monkeys’ concert, attended by Hulligan, was a part of the band’s tour in support of their recent album Humbug, which was released in August 2009.
