Arctic Monkeys became the main winners of Shockwaves Awards, taking three awards. They were named the best band of the year, their track Fluorescent Adolescent was named the best song of the year, and the title best music video was won by their clip Teddy Picker.

Myths Of The Near Future by Klaxons became the best album of the year, and Britney Spears’ Blackout was chosen a the worst album. George Bush became the anti-hero of the year.
