Arctic Monkeys are working on new songs

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders confirmed reports that they have started the work on the next album. According to his words, the band – which is currently touring with The Black Keys in support of its last effort Suck It And See – usually does not write on the road, but this time they have decided to change their habits.

Matt Helders also said that Arctic Monkeys recently released single R U Mine? will not be included in the album.

"It's a standalone thing. Mainly because we kinda needed something new to put out for this tour I suppose. We'd already done four singles for Suck It And See so we decided to do something new. We haven't really started writing officially, a record or anything, but there's a few things we're playing around with in sound checks", claimed he.
