Aerosmith guitarist revealed conflicts within a band

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry revealed that he has thought about quitting the band and starting his own career a lot. He also admitted that Aerosmith were ready to split-up because of inner conflicts on several occasions, but each time they were choosing to continue together.

"I've thought very often about throwing it over for just writing and doing my own thing. But nothing excites me as much as getting to do this. It's about being in the studio and working and taking it day by day, and suddenly you find yourself here 40 years later", claimed he.

Recently Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler revealed that the band has nearly finished its new studio effort. According to the musician, they want the album to hit the stores in June, to coincide with the beginning of their Global Warming tour.

"Doing a record in four months is unheard of in Aerosmith territory. It still needs to be mixed and that two more songs need to be written", said he.
