Aerosmith are ready to start the recording of the new album
Jun 06, 2011Jack Douglas also has worked on four Aerosmith albums – Get Your Wings (1974), Toys In The Attic (1975), Rocks (1976) and Draw The Line (1977).
Joe Perry wrote on his Twitter account: "Whole band has plans to go into the studio with Jack Douglas second week of July to work on new Aerosmith CD. Laying down some new tracks this week. Been listening to fans' comments over last couple of years putting that in creative blender".
Earlier Aerosmith's frontman Steven Tyler claimed that he already had started the work on the new songs together with Joe Perry.
"I sent Joe a bunch of songs and he sent me a bunch of licks, we've e-mailed back and forth with each other. All I need is a few good licks. That's the way Walk This Way was written, one of Joe Perry's licks and I grabbed the ball and ran with it, and that's all it takes sometimes", said Steven Tyler.
Aerosmith's last studio effort, titled Honkin' On Bobo, was released in 2004.
