Adele is one of the most influential people on the planet

Adele has become the only singer mentioned in the list of the most influential people on the planet compiled by Time magazine. Its creators claimed that Adele's turning to a world-famous star has become a source of inspiration for many people.

Another famous singer, Pink – who runs column on Time's website – wrote about Adele: "I'm always so happy when the world catches on to something great. Especially when it's authentic talent, great songwriting and a unique talent. Her success renews hope in me that the world I live in has good taste - that we still occasionally come back to what's simple, and simply amazing. I can't wait to hear what she does next".

Recently Adele promised to release several new songs within this year. At the same time, she claimed that her next album – the follow-up to 2011's effort 21 – will not hit the stores in two years.
