Adele has outsold Pink Floyd

Adele's second studio effort 21 has climbed on the 7th place in the list of the biggest selling albums in the UK. Last week it reached the mark of 4.14 million copies, which allowed the record to overcome Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon. Currently it is only 12 thousand copies behind Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits.

The list is topped by Queen's Greatest Hits compilation that was sold 5.83 million copies. The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is second (5.04 million copies).

Recently Adele has equaled David Bowie and Dire Straits by the amount of time spent at the first place of UK's album sales chart. Singer has got 22 times she was a leader.

Adele now shares the third position with Bowie and Dire Straits. Madonna is second with 29 weeks spent on top of the chart. Ultimate leaders are The Beatles with 174 weeks.
