Adele and Tinie Tempah nominated for Mercury Music Prize

The list of nominees for this year's Mercury Music Prize has been revealed. It features Adele, Tinie Tempah and Elbow, as well as PJ Harvey, Katy B and others.

Mercury Music Prize is an annual award given for the best album recorded by artist from United Kingdom and Ireland. The winner is determined by a selected panel of musicians, critics and other members of the industry. Mercury Music Prize is usually regarded as an honor for the non-mainstream performers.

The ceremony itself is set to take place on September 6.
