He also slammed musicians who release charity records on the same purpose. According to his words, famous artists must donate their own money rather than make fans pay for them.
«I don’t tell everybody they should give money - they can’t afford it. When I was a working man I didn’t want to go to a concert for some bastard to talk down to me that I should be thinking of some kid in Africa», said he. Brian Johnson made this statement while speaking about different charity activities which aimed to help victims of the recent Haiti earthquake. They featured U2, Take That, Jay-Z, Lady GaGa and other artists. AC/DC are currently on tour in support of their last album Black Ice, released in 2008.
