Abbey Road has become top-selling vinyl in US

The Beatles' album Abbey Road was named the biggest selling album on vinyl of the year in USA. It has clocked 41,000 copies in 2011, reaching the first place for the third year in row (in both 2010 and 2009 the LP was sold 35,000 copies).

The second place in this year has gone to Sigh No More by Mumford And Sons (26,800 sales), followed by Radiohead's The King Of Limbs (20,800 sales). Adele and her studio effort 21 were next (16,500).

Adele's 21 has become the top-selling record of 2011 in the US, clocking up 5.82 million copies. The effort also spent 14 weeks on the first place of Billboard sales chart – it is the second best result ever, overcome only by Titanic movie soundtrack that spent 16 weeks on top.

At the same time, Adele's song Rolling In The Deep was named the best-selling single of last year in US, being bought 5.81 million times.
