A lock of John Lennon's hair was sold for $48,000
Dec 12, 2007A lock of John Lennon's hair was sold for $48,000 at an auction of The Beatles memorabilia. Items were sold by the band's former hairdresser Betty Glasow.
The hair was put inside a book that Lennon gave to her, which was inscribed with the message «To Betty, Lots of Love and Hair, John Lennon».
A lock of hair was bought by an unkown telephone bidder. Glasow also auctioned off a photo of George Harrison for $13,000, which he signed with his name.
