50 Cent named release date for new album

Jul 07, 2009
50 Cent announced that his long-awaited new album Before I Self Destruct would hit the stores in the last days of September. «My album - it's perfect, I feel. I'm ready. I'm ready to put this album out. I really don't need adjustments», said he.

It is not the first time 50 Cent is calling his upcoming record «perfect». Few weeks ago he praised Before I Self Destruct by saying that the record will be «as close to perfect as it's going to get». «I feel like my album is as close to perfect as it's gonna get. I'm reaching the point to where if I have to continue to write it, I'll be overkilling it», said he.

50 Cent also marked that upcoming album, produced by Dr. Dre, would also feature collaborations with rappers Timbaland and Polow Da Don.

Before I Self Destruct was scheduled to be released last December, but it was delayed so Dr. Dre could concentrate on Eminem's latest album Relapse. The album will hit the stores in September.

50 Cent’s previous record Curtis hit the stores in 2007.
