Elton John may get a street named after him. The local council of his native town Pinner is «considering plans to name a road after its most famous musical son». However, it is still unknown if singer himself will give his agreement for this.

At the same time, it was announced that Elton John allowed local rapper Ironik to sample his famous hit Tiny Dancer. Earlier only two hip-hop stars – Tupac Shakur and Kanye West – were given a permission to work with Elton’s music.

In February Elton John announced that his own Rocket Pictures studio would film a horror movie titled Pride And Predator. Musician himself will become an executive producer and also work on the movie’s soundtrack.

Elton John’s last record The Captain & The Kid was released in 2006.
