The Crystal Method entered the music world in 1993 as the long standing duet of Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland. Before starting this project, these musicians had collaborated together at a college radio station in Las Vegas as DJs. Later, Jordan went to Los Angeles to learn more about the night club trends and learn from the skilled musicians. Meanwhile, Scott stayed in Las Vegas to master the guitar under the guidance of a heavy metal band member. One day he decided to join his old friend in Angel City and offer him to start a new band. Therefore, Los Angeles became the cradle where The Crystal Method were born. In 1993, the duet made their first single, Now Is The Time, inspired by the atmosphere of the LA criminal life. To the immense surprise of the musicians, this song soon conquered many big city clubs.

In 1995, The Crystal Method were invited to open the concert of the established British ensemble Chemical Brothers. This performance drew the attention of Outpost Recordings who eventually singed the promising duet. The result of this cooperation was The Crystal Method first long player under the title Vegas, released in Los Angeles in September 1997. Featuring a sophisticated blend of hip-hop, acid and house, this record promoted its makers to the status of the new stars of the American electronic music stage. The band was honored with the comparisons to their older colleagues from The Chemical Brothers, but they stated they played a different trend. Indeed, their sound was based on mixing old school disco, intellectual Depeche Mode electronic and harsh elements of heavy metal.

Fond of experimenting, The Crystal Method did not rush to produce another album, seeking the new variants of sounding. Their subsequent full-length studio work saw the light of day only in 2001. Tweekend had a bomb-like effect crashing on the thirty second place in Billboard 200 and crowning Billboard's Top Electronic Albums. This outstanding record brought The Crystal Method an incredible commercial success and found wide recognition not only in America, but in a considerable number of other countries. Seeming to have found their own path, The Crystal Method were quick to release their third album in 2002 already. Community Service followed the patterns established by its glorious predecessor and still was interesting and fresh to listen to. This work strengthened the band’s leading positions in the dance music community.

The 2004 long player, Legion of Boom collected a remarkable set of various awards and opened a new stage in The Crystal Method history. Since then, the musicians have been participating in many projects beyond purely music domain. They wrote memorable soundtracks to commercials for such established brands as Nike, and Apple. Moreover, their music sounded in a number of Hollywood blockbusters and popular computer and TV games. As great promoters of electronic music, The Crystal Method pay much attention to playing not only on big venues, but also on minor stages of little towns missing big music events to get more and more people familiar with the stuff they do. Packed and many-faceted activity never distracted the band from their primary work. The Crystal Method never made their supporters wait for their fresh releases too long. In 2007 and 2009, they added to their discography two more powerful albums, Drive, and Divided by Night, respectively.
