Ne-Yo knows the recipe of a real hit

Twenty-four-year-old R&B singer and songwriter Shaffer Chimere Smith has become famous as Ne-Yo and has been already nominated for Grammy. This certainly talented American artist's debut album In My Own Words became a real sensation last year beating all the sales records. Besides that Ne-Yo possesses unforgettable high-pitched vocals and an excellent sense of rhythm the young man has been filmed a couple of times, and critics have appreciated his dramatic abilities. Yet there is no doubt that Smith's main merit is the talent of songwriting. It would be enough to name such creations as Rihanna's Unfaithful and Beyonce's Irreplaceable, both of which still receive the highest airplay all over the world to make it clear that Ne-Yo knows the recipe of a real hit. Luckily the artist's primary concern remains his own career and this year his sophomore effort Because Of You is to be released. As the previous creation, the album is the product of Def Jam Records, and its first single Because Of You has again conquered millions of hearts.

Because of You is devoted to relationship

As a classical R&B album, Because Of You is basically devoted to relasionship and reveals Ne-Yo's outlook on them. Of course, the best one to open the record is title single Because of You – a mid-tempo composition presenting a love confession, in which love is paralizing and at the same intolerably pleasant. Anoher single Crazy performed with who but Jay-Z tells what the singer thinks of his way of life, he does not care if you call him crazy, he will always do what he wants. Several tracks on the album are addressed directly to girls: Can We Chill is a rather persistant flirting, Do You is a dare way to get acquainted and on Say It the artist aks a girl to be honest and tell him what she wants from him. One of the frankest songs on the record is Addicted, whereas the most romantic one is Leaving Tonight. Jennifer Hudson has refined the composition with her beautiful vocals, and a complicated melody allows the duo demonstrate the best singing capacity. Aint Thinking About You would be a real break up song if the performer's desire to get everything back was not that evident, and Angel tells of his love for a beautiful girl who has deprived him of peace. Ne-Yo shares his life experience on Make it Work telling that relations must be worked on, otherwise nothing will come of them, and the final song Go On Girl is a story of a desperate guy who knows that his girl is not true to him.

A talent worth its weight in gold

No matter how many new artists appear on the world R&B scene, each of them contributes to music and makes it shine with all shades of feelings. As for the most talented and successful they constitute the core, and nobody would disagree that Ne-Yo is one of them. Moreover, he is the person whom many artists of the style are to thank for their popularity. Today it is known that young songwriter has also worked on creating songs for such legends as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Enrique Iglesias for their creations that are going to see the light of the day in the nearest future. And that is not all. Recently producer Will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas has contacted him and soon they are going to work on Michael Jackson's album. Obviously a talent such as Ne-Yo's one is worth its weight in gold in music industry. Everyone who has an ear for a quality R&B, the release of Because Of You confirms the artist's intention to continue creating, and if he keeps to such a tempo the third one is sure to come out sooner than we expect it.
